Seriously, the Golden Nugget is a highly underrated Vegas hotel. This was honestly the coolest water slide I’ve ever been in.

An article on the “Contest to kill 100 people using a sword” published in the Tokyo Nichi Nichi Shimbun. The headline reads, “‘Incredible Record’ (in the Contest to Cut Down 100 People) —Mukai 106 – 105 Noda—Both 2nd Lieutenants Go Into Extra Innings”.
The contest to kill 100 people using a sword is a wartime account of a “contest” between two Japanese Army officers during the Japanese invasion of China over which of them could first kill 100 people with his sword. The two officers were later executed on war crimes charges for their involvement.[1] Since that time, the historicity of the event has been hotly contested, often by Japanese nationalists or revisionist historians seeking to invalidate the historiography of the Nanking Massacre.

AND THEY WERE PERFECT PARENTS TOO!

They were fiercely proud of their children’s accomplishments.

They played together as a family.

They went to school plays, parent/teacher interviews, and helped with school work.

They co-parented, Gomez was just as active in raising their children as Morticia was.

When their children wanted something that they disapproved of, they were disappointed but relented because it would make them happy.

Plus, all TV married couples kind of hate each other and argue 90% of the time for the sake of comedy, but these two have always seemed to be forever and always in love, which is kind of sweet.

And if that’s only possible because they’re weirdos, what does that say about us?

“That Miss Granger certainly spends a lot of time with Mr. Potter,” Albus quipped, finishing off Minerva’s herringbone braid with a wave of his wand.

“I should think so,” Minerva replied. “She’s the only reason he’s passing any of his classes. Weasley, too.”

“I do wonder about those three,” Dumbledore sighed, pouring himself and Minerva another goblet of firewhiskey.

Minerva shrugged, making short work of her whiskey. “Weasley,” she said, lowering the goblet to the table. “Weasley’s going to get the girl, mark my words.”

Albus quirked a brow. “You think so?”

“They already fight like an old married couple. I won’t even let them practice spells together, just to spare the class the tedium of their arguments.” Minerva waved her wand and her goblet refilled. “Besides, Potter is already taken. He just doesn’t know it yet.”

“Malfoy?” Albus mused, sipping his own firewhiskey sagely. “I can see them developing a foe-mance, if you will excuse the Muggle phrase.”

Minerva tilted her head, picturing Potter and Malfoy together. She shook her head; they already hexed each other at every chance as it was. It would be more than Hogwarts’s disciplinary procedures could take if they were ever in a relationship. She told Albus this, and he laughed.

“Perhaps they would not be the wisest pair,” he said, leaning forward so Minerva could braid his beard.

“In any case, Ginny Weasley still has her heart set on Potter,” Minerva sighed, nimbly braiding Albus’s beard into an elaborate French braid.

“How on earth do you know that, Minerva?” Albus asked, pausing her progress to finish his own firewhiskey.

“I’m a teacher, Albus,” Minerva replied. “I hear things.” She waited for him to finish his whiskey and returned to braiding his beard.

They sat in silence for a moment while Minerva finished braiding. Towards the end the whiskey began to kick in, and she lazily waved her wand, letting magic do the rest of the work.

“I am curious to see which lucky witch or wizard ends up with Longbottom,” Albus murmured, pouring himself yet another whiskey. “Would you like another, Minerva?”

“I’m fine.” She still had the walk to her office ahead of her, and the last thing any students out of bed needed to see was their teacher stumbling around drunk. “Longbottom, though? You must admit, Albus, his skills do leave something to be desired.”

“He has the heart, the skills will follow,” Albus noted, stroking his braided beard. “He will be a great wizard one day.”

They lapsed into silence again as Albus drank his third helping of firewhiskey.

“Crabbe and Goyle, though…” Minerva whispered, leaning forward.

“Already confirmed it,” Albus replied, setting his goblet down. “You may notice neither of them brought dates to the Yule Ball?”

Minerva nodded, suppressing a giggle.

“Well, two weeks ago they were in my office asking if it would be alright if they went together,” Albus confided.

“Oh, Albus, do… do you think they know?” Minerva asked.

“About Gellart and myself?” Albus replied. “No, no, I haven’t told a soul outside this office.”

Minerva shrugged. “In any case, how can you be sure with those two? Maybe they really couldn’t get dates.”

Albus snickered, blue eyes glimmering mischievously. “Oh, I’m certain.”

“How?”

“Because after the Yule Ball, Filch caught them in flagrante on the front steps.”

I went through a phase when I was younger where I was obsessed with anything to do with fairies. Amy Brown was my main inspiration for about five years, and I still have two of her art books. I feel like I’ve definitely progressed and grown as an artist (and person, lol) since then, but its nice every once in a while to revisit that kind of art.
