Trying out different styles with - what else? - more Rapunzel.
Declaring today a Rapunzel day.
I’m trying to finish art trades and requests (old ones, school is crushing me so no new requests), and this Rapunzel is for my amazing, talented InternetWyfe Andells, who is the absolute shit, yo!! She is Rapunzel and I am Merida and we will skip off into the sunset forever.
Oh, and I’m kind of partial to the concept art designs of her, so that’s why no purple outfit here. I’M SORRY IF YOU LIKED THE PURPLE BB, BUT I COULDN’T HELP IT. ;_____;

I keep finding different concept art that was made for Rapunzel until they finally settled on what they wanted her to look like. It kinda really makes me wish that they had used traditional animation for this film.
“He’s always making the expression that he’s drawing… he’s making the expression even more than what he’s drawing. We didn’t set this up, he’s really doing this.”
—John Kahr, when talking about Glen Keane
Mother Gothel!! I’ve never drawn her before……hm.
I actually felt kinda sorry for her and the Stabbington brothers. Well, maybe not felt sorry. But I felt a kinship for the two redheads and the lady with the crazy curly hair. I mean, my two big hair things, and they had to go and be villains…..Brave, you better redeem my hair for me!!! HEAR THAT, PIXAR?? REDEMPTION. NEEDED.
And on to more sketches…..
